What You’ll Do in This Role

  • Design and implement cloud-native architectures for data ingestion, processing, storage, and delivery

  • Define and enforce cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, VPC configuration, and least-privilege access
  • Collaborate with data and backend engineering teams to integrate cloud services end-to-end
  • Monitor system health, optimize cost and performance, and support incident response
  • Maintain clear documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and operational runbooks

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
  • Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker
  • Strong understanding of cloud security fundamentals including IAM, VPC, encryption, and secrets management
  • Software development fundamentals in Python and/or Java; RESTful API experience
  • Clear communication skills in collaborative engineering environments

Additional Strengths That Stand Out

  • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Data Engineer, or Microsoft Azure equivalent)
  • Experience with cloud-native data services such as Glue, S3, Kinesis, Synapse, or Data Factory
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices in a classified environment
  • Experience with ATO processes and STIG requirements for cloud deployments
