Requirements

CYPEX is CYBERTEC’s application platform built on PostgreSQL. It allows organisations to build business applications directly on top of their own database, with access control, workflows and change history handled by the platform itself. We are hiring a senior engineer to own features across the full stack: the database layer, the API, and the user interface. Tasks Own features end to end, from the data model through the API to the user interface. Design and review the database side of features: schema changes, migrations, queries, and access control. Build backend services in TypeScript on Node.js and Express. Build frontend features with React, Vite, MUI/Emotion, Redux and React Query. Set technical direction in your area and document the reasoning, so the next engineer can follow the decision without asking you. Review other people’s code with the same care you expect on your own. Support mid-level engineers on the team. Requirements At least five years building production web applications in TypeScript, covering both frontend and backend. Solid PostgreSQL experience. You can read a query plan, write a migration you would be willing to run against a customer’s production database, and reason about permissions. You test what you build and can explain how you know a change is correct. You debug across layers instead of stopping at the first plausible cause. You raise risks early, including the ones you created yourself. Fluent English, written and spoken. Benefits Full-time, remote. Flexible hours with a shared core window, so the team can work together during the day. Tooling that generates types from SQL. Large TypeScript codebases with shared internal packages. Oracle APEX or Oracle Forms background. PostGIS and spatial data.
