One division boasts a 40-year legacy as a global frontrunner in the design, development, and manufacture of advanced lidar instruments. With a rich history in sensor technology, including lidar, photogrammetry, GPS, inertial measurement systems, and waveform digitization their products are operational worldwide and have even made their mark beyond Earth. The other division, headquartered abroad, stands as a premier developer of geospatial software for ocean mapping and marine information systems. Their integrated software suite caters to processing sonar and LiDAR data, managing vast data sets, chart and map production, and online data service, among other specialized requirements. Renowned government bodies, defense organizations, commercial survey firms, and the academic and research community utilize their software. As a technical specialist in hydrographic data processing, digital terrain modeling, and bathymetric & topographic data management, you will serve as the primary liaison for both existing and prospective clients. Your responsibilities span offering support through various communication channels, delivering training both remotely and on-site globally, and collaborating with colleagues to gain insights into the LiDAR survey industry.
- Offer frontline technical assistance to clients.
- Conduct software training both in-house and at client locations.
- Foster strong relationships with existing clientele.
- Diagnose client systems, pinpoint technical challenges, and present integrated solutions.
- Document workflows, operational procedures, and technical guidelines for clients.
- Engage in marketing and sales endeavors, which may include global conferences and exhibitions.
- Provide specialized consultancy upon gaining adequate experience.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Hydrography, Geomatics, or related fields, or proven experience in hydrographic surveys.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Python.
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
- Ability to confidently conduct detailed training sessions.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of a second language is advantageous.
- Willingness for international travel (around 25-30%).

Exceptional social, inter-cultural, communicative, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Desirable Skills:
- Experience with hydrographic processing software.
- Familiarity with bathymetric LiDAR systems.
- Experience with RDBMS packages like Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Comfort with RESTful API, SQL, JSON.
