Job description

  • Develop and enhance low-complexity features on the Pega platform, including workflows, UI components, business rules, and integrations.
  • Contribute to improving our test automation landscape by implementing and maintaining automated tests in order to help reduce manual testing effort across the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and senior developers to translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
  • Learn modern software engineering practices including code reviews, agile development, and collaborative problem solving.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of the Pega platform and work towards your Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) certification.
  • Participate actively in team ceremonies, knowledge-sharing sessions, and engineering discussions while learning from experienced colleagues.

We believe great expectations create great outcomes. Here’s what success in this role looks like over time:

  • Within your first 3 months You’ll become familiar with our products, engineering practices, and the Pega platform. You’ll establish strong relationships within the team, contribute to development activities, and begin working on your first production features while receiving close mentoring.

  • Within 3-6 months You’ll independently deliver low-complexity Pega features into production and contribute automated tests as part of your daily development work. You’ll become increasingly confident navigating the platform and collaborating with different stakeholders.

  • Within 6-12 months You’ll take ownership of increasingly complex features, actively contribute to improving automation and development processes, and successfully complete your Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) certification. Your work will help improve software quality while reducing manual effort throughout the delivery process.

  • After 12 months You’ll have established yourself as a trusted member of the engineering team with a solid foundation in Pega development. You’ll independently deliver features, contribute to technical discussions, and continue growing towards more advanced engineering responsibilities., From Morning Daily to Afterwork Drink, team spirit is essential to us. The heart of our togetherness is that we truly are connected with each other: We not only share fun & laughter, but also honest opinions - because that’s how we grow: We exchange ideas, give support in our personal development, and celebrate success together! Besides our great community, we also offer numerous other benefits…

Requirements

  • First professional experience in Software QA, Test Automation, Software Development, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Serenity, WebDriver, or comparable tools.
  • Practical experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
  • Good understanding of software testing principles and different testing approaches, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Basic Java knowledge or experience with another object-oriented programming language.
  • Curiosity to learn new technologies and develop into a Software Engineer on the Pega platform.
  • Strong communication skills in English. German is a plus, but not required.
  • A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for improving software quality and engineering processes.
  • You’re passionate about your work, but also know how to enjoy your free time!

Nice to have:

  • First experience with the Pega platform.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as banking, insurance, healthcare, or telecommunications.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Experience contributing to Agile software development teams.
