Job description

  • We engage with stakeholders to break down complex and ambiguous problems into technical specifications that an engineering team can implement under our guidance.
  • We lead and participate in regular technical meetings, influencing technology strategy and shaping the product so architectural decisions align with broader organizational goals and strategy.
  • We architect and govern agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows using enterprise-authorized tools to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale, while defining guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams.
  • We design and implement secure, high-quality technical solutions in Java.
  • We review and debug code while owning and delivering end-to-end solutions leveraging the latest technologies and best industry practices.
  • We apply knowledge of tools within the software development lifecycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale.
  • We support the products we build through their entire life cycle, including production and incident management.
  • We contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • We are looking for expert knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle, including system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • We need expert experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • We require expert knowledge of server-side languages and frameworks, such as Java and Spring Boot.
  • We are looking for experience building solutions on at least one cloud platform, such as AWS, using integration technologies such as GraphQL and REST, and NoSQL or SQL database technologies such as PostgreSQL or TigerGraph.
  • We need a solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • We require demonstrated experience designing and leading the adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices across teams, using enterprise-authorized tools, with standards for human-in-the-loop validation, auditability, traceability, and secure handling of sensitive data.
  • We are looking for a strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations in engineering workflows, including security, resiliency, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance.
  • We require the ability to influence senior technical leaders on safe scaling patterns and reuse.
  • We require a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: knowledge and experience with Python.
  • Preferred: knowledge and experience with frontend technologies such as TypeScript and React.
