Job description

Our Client is seeking a Senior TMS Application Developer to join its Supply Chain Technology team. This is a critical backfill role focused on designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise Transportation Management System (TMS) solutions that support the company’s growing distribution and logistics network. The ideal candidate will have strong application development experience within transportation and logistics technology environments and will work closely with Architecture, Engineering, and business stakeholders to build scalable, modern transportation solutions.

Design, develop, enhance, and support Transportation Management System (TMS) applications and integrations. Serve as a technical subject matter expert for transportation and logistics technology initiatives. Partner with Architecture and Engineering teams to design scalable, maintainable solutions. Develop APIs, integrations, and interfaces between TMS, ERP, WMS, and other enterprise platforms. Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Participate in architecture reviews, solution design sessions, and technical planning activities. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis. Support application modernization and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure application performance, reliability, security, and scalability. Contribute to Agile development processes including sprint planning, development, testing, and code reviews.

Requirements

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship not available., Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. 5+ years of application development experience supporting Supply Chain, Transportation, or Logistics systems. Hands-on experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Strong experience developing APIs, integrations, and web services. Experience with SQL and relational databases. Strong understanding of application architecture and enterprise integration patterns. Experience collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering teams. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders. Experience with Manhattan Associates Transportation Management System (TMS) is highly preferred. Experience supporting other transportation platforms such as Oracle OTM, Blue Yonder, SAP TM, MercuryGate, E2open, or similar enterprise TMS solutions. Retail, distribution, supply chain, or logistics industry experience. Experience with cloud-based platforms and modern integration frameworks. Experience supporting carrier integrations, freight management, transportation planning, and logistics operations. Strong design and systems-thinking mindset. Passion for building scalable enterprise applications. Ability to balance hands-on development with solution design discussions. Comfortable working across Architecture, Engineering, and business teams. Experience influencing technical direction and best practices. Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
