Senior Software Engineer - Full-Stack

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Drive technical execution by designing, building, and scaling backend services and frontend components that handle high-traffic workloads (20krpm and above).
• Lead architectural improvements and code reviews, ensuring the efficiency, visibility, and operational health of your team’s systems.
• Partner with cross-functional disciplines (PMs, Experience Designers) to plan projects, foresee dependencies, and mitigate technical risks.
• Break down complex problems into deliverable choices, influencing the roadmap and technical direction within your team.
• Support the growth of others by mentoring colleagues and taking an active role in our engineering hiring process to build high-performing teams.

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

• Significant experience building web-based applications in a modern stack; we use Go, Ruby, Python, and Scala, and we’re looking for someone keen to work across them.
• Proven ability to design and operate web architecture at scale, specifically with systems handling significant request volumes.
• Demonstrated ownership of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience with ‘NoSQL’ backends such as Redis, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch.
• A commitment to software craft, with a pride in writing readable, well-designed, and thoroughly tested code.
