UPS Worldwide Forwarding, Inc. seeks Senior Software Development Engineer in Louisville, KY, Job Duties: Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that support business needs and product offerings. Responsibilities include managing the full software development lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Stay current with emerging technologies and integrating them into software development efforts. Analyzing business and technical requirements, coding new applications, and modifying existing ones to improve functionality. Ensuring successful implementation of system improvements and troubleshooting complex technical issues is a key responsibility. Advising on technology trends and helping businesses optimize their software solutions. Understanding customer needs, recommending improvements, and ensuring technical challenges are addressed effectively. Collaboration with stakeholders to drive innovation and product enhancements. Part-time telecommuting is an option. Hybrid work from company office in Louisville, KY.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Information Systems, or closely related quantitative discipline, and 4 years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field. Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline, and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.
Special Skill Requirements:(1) C# (.NET), (2) Angular/Javascript, (3) HTML5, (4) CSS, (5) SQL (Relational Databases), (6) Azure DevOps (Version Control & CI/CD Pipelines), (7) Visual Studio, (8) Unit Testing Frameworks (jUnit, nUnit), (9) Secure Coding Practices (Input Validation, Output Encoding, Secure Error Handling); (10) Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing (SAST & DAST). Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Part-time telecommuting is an option. Hybrid work from company office in Louisville, KY.
