Senior Platform DevOps Engineer - Remote Role

A Senior Platform Engineer is first and foremost a software developer who specializes in the domain of the processes and resources necessary to enable the development, build, test, deploy, and release of changes to enterprise applications delivered to market while ensuring this occurs as frequently as needed, with the least amount of error possible, and the maximum uptime. Our product, a dynamic virtual platform and its resources include an automated software factory, its logistics and utilities, a digital showroom, and consumer feedback loops. Our customers encompass the entire IT organization including ourselves., Development of event driven functions, APIs, backend services, Command Language Interfaces, and Self-Service Developer Portals.

Armed with these accelerators you will be among the first on the ground to customize and deploy the delivery platform that will enable the application developers that follow us to rapidly create, demonstrate, and deliver value sprint over sprint for much of the Global Fortune 500., Design and automate the onboarding process for applications, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Collaborate with developers to facilitate smooth transitions of applications into production environments.

Database Deployment Automation

Architect and implement solutions for automated database deployments, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

Monitoring and Reporting Automation

Develop automated scripts and tools for real-time reporting and monitoring of applications to ensure performance and availability.

Self-Service Capability Development:

Build self-service solutions that empower teams to manage their workflows while ensuring compliance with governance policies.

Cloud Technology Expertise

Lead the onboarding of applications and services in cloud environments, specializing in one of the following: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, or AWS.

Release Engineering Leadership

Oversee and lead release engineering activities, ensuring that code releases are delivered smoothly and efficiently.

1+ years coding in either Python, Typescript, or Golang

1+ years scripting experience in bash or powershell

4+ years of networking experience (security, DNS, VPN, Cloud, load balancing)

4+ years of systems administration experience with at least one operating system (Linux or Windows)

1+ years of experience with one of the following public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Proficient in creating and managing infrastructure through code using Terraform.

Develop and maintain scripts for deploying and configuring resources consistently across various environments.

Containerization and Orchestration

Implementation and management of Kubernetes clusters for orchestrating containerized applications and Docker.

Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for scalable application deployment and Azure Container Registry(ACR) to handle Docker images for the services.

Azure Services Proficiency

Utilize Azure services, including Azure Container Registry (ACR), PostgreSQL Database, and Application Configuration for comprehensive application solutions.

Experience in integrating Azure DevOps (ADO) for streamlined development processes.

CI/CD Automation:

Set up and manage automated workflows for branch creation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) using Azure Pipelines.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($75.00 - $85.00/Hour). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
