Job description

  • Identify machine controllers (Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Beckhoff, Rexroth) and select protocols and compatible OT hardware for IIoT integration.
  • Develop and understand controls architecture and ISA-95 architecture.
  • Document AS-IS and TO-BE processes for controls implementation.
  • Create technical documentation including system designs, integration plans, and user manuals for IIoT systems.
  • Program and configure multiple control systems including Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal), Allen-Bradley PLCs, Mazak CNC controllers, and Fanuc controllers.
  • Integrate machine controllers to IIoT systems and different levels of the automation stack.
  • Manage IIoT projects from planning through implementation, ensuring milestones and timelines are met.
  • Integrate tightening tools controllers (e.g., Atlas Copco, DC tools, Desouter) with IIoT platforms.
  • Integrate Robots, Cobots, IMRs, and AGVs with IIoT platforms.
  • Configure and troubleshoot OPC Servers like Kepware for data exchange between machines and IIoT platforms.
  • Perform root cause analysis for network or connectivity failures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot IIoT deployment problems.

Requirements

  • 2 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong preference for hands-on experience working with PLCs.
  • Ignition experience greater than 1 year.
  • Experience with multiple PLCs.
  • Proficiency in programming multiple coding languages such as C++ or Python.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial communication standards and protocols such as OPC UA/DA, MQTT, REST API, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Profibus.
  • Awareness of Device NET and Modbus TCP/IP.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial networking protocols such as Ethernet/IP and fieldbus.
  • Knowledge of IP configuration, routing, VLANs, and network security practices.
  • Expertise in Industry 4.0 solutions and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of data analytics platforms like Power BI, AI, and ML technologies.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% 40%.
  • Ability to work a standard schedule of 7:00 AM 5:00 PM and required overtime., * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex communication issues between machines, PLCs, and IIoT systems.
  • Strong skills in creating technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
