This position requires significant experience in common systems engineering standards (RBOC, AT&T, or major telecommunications provider).The applicant will design and specify material for AC and DC power equipment including commercial AC power building entries, switchboards, transformers, generators, UPS backup systems, rectifiers, power distribution, batteries, grounding systems, fire control systems, HVAC, and additional materials required to support installation.Position also requires maintenance of central office records, including updates to floor plans and front equipment drawings to reflect installations and completing capacity management reports for all AC and DC power equipment.
NOTE: This roles territory will be located in Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Upstate New York. This role will require travel and be issued use of a Company Vehicle for Field Work. The right candidate will live in one of these areas to be considered for the role.
Responsibilities
Manage Contracted Maintenance vendors for callout repairs, and quoted service repairs onCritical Infrastructuresystems to include invoicing and quoted PR submittals.
Development of best operating practices andstandards.
WriteMethod of Procedures (MOPs) for all Critical Infrastructure equipmentrepairs and augments.
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with approved MOPs.
Evaluate vendor/contractor field service reports describing all activities (preventive maintenance, repairs, etc.) performed on the Critical Infrastructure equipment.
Resolve operational deficiencies discovered on Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI) and on Contractor PMs.
Assists Field Operations and NCC/NOC technicians with Operation Support issues that may require vendor or manufacturer support.
Develop reliability reports to assist in identifying areas of concern that could develop into future problems.
Subject Matter Expert on Critical Infrastructure equipment issues for all Product Groups and advises them on solutions for technical problems or barriers.
Manage all Critical Infrastructure augmentprojects(CapEx/OpEx) to affectbreak/fix repairs.
Environmental Compliance and to ensure all permitting is completed annually.
Critical Infrastructure Equipment inventory accuracy and Data Integrity in SF and M6.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, and or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five (5) years in a telecommunications of allCritical Infrastructure Critical Infrastructure (CI) equipment:AC power distribution, buildings, grounding, fire systems, generators, ATS/ MTS,Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), DC Power Plant Systems, andCooling systemsto ensure operational integrity, improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
Experience in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Database applications
Project Management experience required
Ability to pass MVR check, to maintain eligibility to operate a company issued vehicle per our policy (no more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years); this includes possession of a state-issued driver’s license for the state in which you live

Estimated base salary range: $77,100 - $111,000 USD/annually The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
