Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS) / Software Platform Engineer

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS) on behalf of our client in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer passionate about cloud technologies, platform reliability, automation, and software development. The successful candidate will support and enhance customer-facing SaaS applications, drive cloud infrastructure initiatives, improve operational reliability, and contribute to software development efforts using AWS, .NET, and C#. This position offers the opportunity to work across both application and infrastructure domains while collaborating with a global engineering team. Key Responsibilities Cloud Operations & Platform Reliability

• Support, monitor, and maintain production SaaS applications and cloud-hosted systems.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, infrastructure, and customer-facing issues.
• Participate in incident response activities, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Enhance system reliability, performance, monitoring, and observability across the platform.
• Implement and improve operational processes, alerting mechanisms, and support workflows.

DevOps & Cloud Engineering

• Contribute to AWS cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and operational support.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Build, optimize, and support CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software delivery.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve scalability, deployment efficiency, and operational excellence.

Software Development

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using .NET and C#.
• Deliver software enhancements, bug fixes, and platform improvements.
• Debug and troubleshoot application issues across development, testing, and production environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Software Engineering, Cloud Operations, or related technical roles.
• Experience supporting, troubleshooting, and improving production SaaS or cloud-based applications.
• Working knowledge of AWS services, cloud infrastructure, and cloud operations.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and modern software delivery practices.
• Proficiency in .NET and C# application development, maintenance, and debugging.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and reliability-focused initiatives.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, logging, alerting, and incident management platforms.
• Knowledge of modern front-end technologies such as React and/or Next.js.
• Experience working with distributed, remote, or global engineering teams.
• Familiarity with platform automation, cloud security best practices, and scalable SaaS architectures.
