Come design the future of how hundreds of millions of customers discover and purchase digital products on Amazon. The North American Stores Design (NASD) team brings together curious designers who strive to create best in class experiences for millions of customers on the Amazon app. From inception through launch, you will be a design owner, responsible for delivering ambitious concepts and using data to iterate and improve - translating needs and constraints into simple, intuitive, customer-focused solutions. As the design owner for the Digital Services & Software - a fast-moving space where customers buy digital products, you will solve unique UX challenges around discoverability, and post-purchase CX. Youâll work closely with product and engineering to shape roadmaps, define design strategies across multiple programs while delivering end-to-end experiences from early concept through launch. This isnât a âstay in your laneâ role. While Digital Software is your home base, youâll flex into high-priority projects across NASD when the business calls for it - from AI-powered shopping experiences to complex customization flows, youâll work across discovery, detail pages, checkout, and post-purchase surfaces., * Design the user experience of key, differentiated features for North American Stores categories
- Design solutions for complex design and technical problems where product strategy is not fully defined
- Create conceptual sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes using AI tools
- Collaborate effectively across diverse teams and disciplines to drive alignment and efficiency
- Develop and improve design patterns, standards, and processes that scale for your team
- Lead brainstorming sessions and present at cross-team reviews to demonstrate features and drive design decisions
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data (metrics, usability studies) to inform product-level customer experience decisions
- Work closely with engineering to incorporate capabilities and constraints of the technology stack
- Balance short- and long-term design requirements against engineering constraints
Requirements
7+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices

A portfolio demonstrating the product design lifecycle Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Can show strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders
- Experience reviewing user research and data to build a strategic and user-friendly design
- Experience designing and executing online customer experiences
- Experience defining and driving creative solutions in new or ambiguous product territory
Benefits & conditions
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
