Job description

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced systems engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers focused specifically on the environmental qualification testing (EQT) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) certification of Advanced Compact Electronic Solutions. Your responsibilities will include managing the systems engineering content and work products associated with qualification, which includes developing the test requirements baseline, designing qualification strategies and procedures, and overseeing the integration and execution of environmental and EMI/EMC testing. You will be responsible for the end-to-end qualification lifecycle, from the initial definition of the test plan through the analysis of test results and the final certification of the hardware. This role will also entail preparing and delivering high-impact technical presentations internally and for customer meetings to defend qualification strategies and report on program readiness. The EQT/EMI lead must be a motivated team-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities and people skills that support collaboration across multiple disciplines within the business. Other responsibilities of this role include assisting with project planning & execution, and management / development of the assigned workforce. The applicant must have successfully demonstrated technical leadership skills in prior assignments. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems customer facility 100% of the time. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field, or equivalent experience in a relevant field with a minimum work experience of:

  • 8+ Years with BS
  • 6+ Years with MS
  • 4+ Year with PHD
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through EMI/ EQT efforts in the defense or aerospace industry
  • Possess an active Secret clearance
  • Experience supporting programs developing Electronic Warfare, RADAR, or RF Communications Systems, * Ability to lead Test Engineers while successfully collaborating with other managers or engineers from other disciplines
  • People skills that support collaboration across multiple channels
  • Motivated, team-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities, Typically a Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience Job Category
