Senior Systems Administrator

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: *Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, hardware, virtual environments, and network devices to meet program needs *Perform system hardening to ensure compliance with established security policies *Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues *Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls *Implement and maintain system backups and disaster recovery procedures *Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement *Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure system stability and availability *Provide technical support to end-users *Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures *Install and maintain DevSecOps tools (GitLab, Artifactory, etc.) *Install and maintain Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, Mattermost) *Install and maintain ACAS suite of tools (Nessus, Tenable SC, etc.) *Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as RMF, DISA STIGs, and NIST 800-53

MTSI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Administrator to support our team in safeguarding information systems for a government customer at WPAFB, OH. This individual will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux and Windows-based systems in a secure environment. This individual will also be responsible for building out cloud and hybrid cloud infrastructure including the designing of cloud-native architectures targeted for AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and high-side on-premises virtualized data centers. You’ll be a great fit for this role if: *You have a passion for information technology, defense, and space systems and advanced technologies. *You understand the urgent need to modernize our defense systems and give our troops the best possible tools. *Paying attention to detail and providing excellent customer service in a professional environment is a skill you excel at. *You are passionate about continuous learning and growth, and you seek opportunities to challenge yourself. *You are driven to make a meaningful impact through your work., *Working knowledge of Windows server administration *6+ years of experience administering Linux systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) *Cloud experience including AWS and Azure *Experience with system standup and configuration including group policy *Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities *Strong communication and interpersonal skills *Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in systems administration *Previous work supporting test or research and development environments *Coordinate with program stakeholders, engineers, and other IT professionals to align system capabilities with mission objectives *Provide technical expertise and recommendations for system improvements and upgrades *Must have in-depth knowledge of DoD, National and applicable service and agency security policy, manuals and standards. Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners Education: *Master’s degree in an IT-related field *Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience can be accepted in lieu of a master’s degree *Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+ Even better if you have these desired skills: *Experience as a Data Transfer Agent (DTA) *Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM). *Experience with configuration management, automation tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Bash, Python, Puppet, Chef) *Experience with Containerization and Orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, K8S, K3S) *Certifications: ISC2 CCSP; CompTIA SecurityX (CASP+), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess an active DoD Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility).
