Senior Developer (TypeScript + Node.js) - Fintech - 100% RemoteAt this company, everyone in tech carries the “Tech Generalist” title on purpose: no one is only frontend, only backend, or only data.Engineers pick up projects end-to-end and rotate between initiatives rather than staying in silos.Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end systems (frontend and backend) - supporting customer-facing workflows and internal backoffice operations.Design and maintain the platform’s core financial systems: payment orchestration, ledger infrastructure, underwriting engines, reconciliation pipelines, and real-time deal tracking.Integrate third-party financial APIs (Taktile, Modern Treasury, Kantox) to automate data ingestion, risk evaluation, and cash movement workflows.Raise the team’s bar through thoughtful system design, high-quality code reviews, and mentorship - including acting as an internal reference on AI-assisted engineering.? 5+ years shipping production-scale software~ Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js .~ Pragmatic and business-impact oriented, balancing quality, speed, and simplicity.~ Comfortable in a remote-first, distributed environment with full ownership.~ Fluent English (working language of the team).Background as a startup founder or early-stage engineer.Familiarity with Kubernetes, BigQuery, or Google Cloud Platform.Engagement: freelance via Shakers, 12 months with strong likelihood of extension.Location: 100% remote.Remote-first autonomy, trust in the team to manage time and impact.At Shakers we handle project management, invoicing, and support throughout the engagement.
