Engineerto help build and scale the backend systems powering our global products and platforms.You will work on highly scalable distributed systems, contribute to the design and implementation of scalable backend services and distributed systemsBuild high-quality, maintainable, and production-ready software using Java and the Spring ecosystemDesign and implement clean, reliable, and well-documented RESTful APIsDevelop resilient event-driven and asynchronous services using modern messaging platformsOptimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and resource utilizationTroubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system stability and operational excellenceSystem Design & Technical ContributionParticipate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisionsDesign scalable solutions for high-concurrency, low-latency, and highly available systemsImprove system observability through monitoring, logging, tracing, and alertingIdentify technical debt and continuously improve system quality and maintainabilityParticipate in code reviews and uphold high engineering standards and best practicesCross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and other engineering teamsWork effectively with distributed engineering teams across Europe and AsiaContribute throughout engineering cultureWhat We’re Looking ForCore Qualifications5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, specializing in Java and distributed systemsStrong software engineering fundamentals with solid expertise in object-oriented design, clean code, and maintainable system architectureExtensive experience building and operating microservices using the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring CloudStrong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, networking, and operating systemsExperience designing scalable and distributed systems with a solid understanding of consistency, fault tolerance, high availability, and scalabilityProficient in designing RESTful APIs with a strong focus on API usability, versioning, and maintainabilityExtensive experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQLStrong expertise in SQL optimization, indexing strategies, schema design, query tuning, and database scalabilityHands-on experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systemsProven experience designing and optimizing high-throughput, low-latency, and highly available production systemsHands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development using Docker and KubernetesFamiliar with modern DevOps
