Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Galileo SW Engineer to work on the Galileo project, the European space flagship programme.Galileo is Europe’s Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), providing accurate positioning and timing information.CETRA BASE is currently looking for one experienced SW Engineer.Position is based in Madrid.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:Develop and maintain high-quality applications using JavaCollaborate with team members on SW design, development, and deploymentContribute to the continuous improvement of the software development processesParticipate in code reviews, unit tests and bug fixingSupport to system integration testsEssential qualifications and experienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field)5+ years of relevant work experienceProgramming languages: JavaFrameworks: SpringVirtualisation: Docker.Development tools: Git, Maven, JUnit.Databases: PostgreSQL.Linux: shell scripting.DesirableExperience in any of the following fields will be valuable:Programming languages: Perl, Python, C/C++.Frameworks: iBATIS, SNMP4J, Spring Security.Web development / JEE: ICEFaces, JSF, Javascript, Primefaces.Secure programming.Token-based authentication/authorization: OAuth2, OpenID connect.Virtualisation: Kubernetes, VirtualBox.Development tools: Jira, Jenkins, Sonar, Selenium,UFT.SW engineering tools: Enterprise Architect, Rational DOORS (Telelogic DOORS).Databases: MySQL, Oracle.Application Servers: JBoss.SecurityIn line with security requirements of the Galileo mission the candidate shall be a citizen of a European Union sposition requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.BenefitsThe successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract and a very competitive salary package, according to his/her skills and experience.
