Job description
We are seeking a Lead Software Architect to guide the development and implementation of effective solutions. The role involves architecting products, strategies, and process improvements with a focus on cybersecurity and digital engineering integration. This position will translate customer needs into a plan by developing durable software architectures. Your expertise will be vital in leading the creation of tangible software releases, cloud migrations, and technical innovation within an Agile process., * * Support the organization and customers in their transition to a DE workflow.
- Develop and implement solutions by creating durable software architectures with a focus on cybersecurity and digital engineering (DE) integration.
- Architect products, strategies, and process improvements, establish specifications, and drive engineering discipline using DE automation.
- Utilize tools such as Came, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and Agentic AI workflows to design solutions architecture.
- Lead the translation of solution architecture into tangible software releases, cloud migrations, and process improvements using an Agile DE process.
- Design solutions for unique use cases that support mission objectives.
- Lead and support proposal efforts in a competitive environment.
- Guide and mentor a team to develop solutions for customers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in developing software engineering architecture and implementation.
- 5+ years of experience in aviation or with the Navy.
- Experience with SysML or UML, and object-oriented programming languages such as C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience with Agile Scrum or Kanban.
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies, migration, and modernization.
- Ability to lead and support proposal efforts in a competitive environment.
- Ability to lead or support technical solutioning across multiple opportunities or proposals simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or Software Engineering.
- Ability to obtain a Security+, CISSP, or ISSAP Certification within 3 months of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with programming languages Rust, Go, or Python.
- Experience in DE and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience with Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR).
- Experience developing whitepapers.
- Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
