Job title: Senior F# DeveloperContract: Freelance Contract Duration: 6 months + Transition to permanent contractLocation: Barcelona or AlgecirasWe are hiring for an F# Developer for our client in the transportation sector.You’ll own the full application lifecycle research, design, development, testing and continuous deployment and delivery of a Fleet Management System.It’s a mission critical, real time systems role, ideal for someone with deep functional and object oriented programming expertise.Key Responsibilities:Own the full lifecycle design, build, test and deploy of complex distributed cloud agnostic systems, delivering quickly through ambiguityEngineer resilient systems, owning the service’s availability and scalabilityLead design and code reviews that lifts both the codebase and the teamShape RESTful API design end to end versioning, backwards compatibility, authentication, retry mechanisms and rate limitingKeep builds green and uphold the branching / code management strategyWork across R&D, IT and Business Operations to align product and operational needs, and build integrations across internal and customer systemsAdvise Product Owners on risks, technical debt and improvement opportunities, and drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and cross-team communitieRequired skills:Design and programming skills primarily in backend with a focus on enterprise level solutions using F# and .NET Core, .NET 6/7/8.Working experience with C# and Python is a plus.Experience of developing and debugging RESTful microservicesExperience working on low latency, highly scalable applicationsStrong design and development experience in distributed, clustered, and multi-threaded applicationsExperience in design and implementation of service interface and public APIsStrong proficiency in object-oriented programming C++ (modern standards preferred)Experience with Production-Grade Container Orchestration viz.Kubernetes etc.Experience working with databases and data models SQL, NoSQL, document DB, Cosmos DB etc.Experience with Fluent NHibernate, Protocol Buffers & Robot FrameworkSolid experience with CI/CD tools - Gitlab, JenkinsStrong experience of Agile, Behavioural Driven Development & Test-Driven DevelopmentHands on experience in modular development of enterprise level application, development experience with Fleet Management System (FMS) is highly preferredPlease apply for more information.
