Job description

  • Identify trends and analyze data from Workday reports. Plan and complete analytical research studies; prepare written summaries and conclusions and make recommendations to leadership about research on Human Resources issues that impact the agency.
  • Provide confidential technical and program analysis to the agency to determine and effectuate management policies in the areas of HR management, employee and labor relations, and collective bargaining.
  • Provide data analysis on policies and procedures, legislative inquiries, and leadership requests.
  • Complete monthly Human Resources performance dashboard detailing key functions and performance level within Human Resources. Identify anomalies and trends for Human Resources Leadership., * Attach a Cover Letter of no more than two pages detailing how you meet the desired attributes. Requirements

The Department of Revenue is recruiting for a limited-duration Human Resources Data Analyst (Operations & Policy Analyst 2). We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills to join our Human Resources Team. This position is headquartered in our Salem office; however, the successful candidate may be eligible for in-state hybrid work. Hybrid work consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely. This limited-duration position is expected to last through June 30, 2027. The position also has the potential to become permanent., A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work. OR; Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification

  • Ability to analyze records and data, write reports, and create and maintain dashboards.
  • Ability to develop data analytics to forecast needs, identify trends to make more informed decisions.
  • Possess strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong customer service, communication, collaboration, active listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive team environment but also work independently.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with R, R Studio, PowerBI, or similar programs.
