Job description
We are seeking an experienced IT Business Partner to serve as the strategic technology liaison for our Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, and Drug Safety (Pharmacovigilance) functions.This individual will partner closely with business leaders to shape technology roadmaps, drive digital transformation initiatives, and optimize enterprise platforms that support the end-to-end pharmaceutical product lifecycle.About the Role The successful candidate will possess deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and hands-on experience with Veeva platform solutions and Pharmacovigilance/Safety systems, enabling them to bridge business objectives with technology capabilities while ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Business PartnershipAct as the trusted technology advisor to Medical, Regulatory, Clinical Operations, and Pharmacovigilance stakeholders.Develop strong relationships with executive and functional leaders to understand business priorities, challenges, and opportunities.Translate business strategies into technology roadmaps and investment plans.Lead demand management, prioritization, and governance processes across the business portfolio.Drive the strategy, adoption, optimization, and lifecycle management of key GxP-regulated applications.Oversee technology solutions supporting:Clinical DevelopmentClinical OperationsRegulatory AffairsMedical AffairsPharmacovigilance and Drug SafetyEnsure alignment between enterprise architecture, data, integration, and business objectives.Provide leadership and strategic oversight across Veeva solutions, including:Veeva Medical CRMPartner with business teams to identify opportunities for process automation, standardization, and optimization.Pharmacovigilance & Safety SystemsSupport and enhance global drug safety platforms and processes.Collaborate with Safety, Regulatory, and Quality teams to ensure compliance with health authority requirements.Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:Oracle Argus SafetyArisGlobal LifeSphereSafety databases and case processing solutionsDrive initiatives related to safety reporting, signal detection, risk management, and regulatory submissions.Lead complex cross-functional transformation programs from strategy through implementation.Manage technology vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality and compliance requirements.Oversee change management, communications, training, and stakeholder adoption activities.Compliance & GovernanceEnsure solutions comply with:GxPFDA regulationsEMA guidelinesICH standards21 CFR Part 11Data privacy requirements (GDPR and applicable regulations)Support validation and audit activities for regulated systems.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related discipline.8+ years’ experience in IT Business Relationship Management, IT Business Partnering, Digital Transformation, or Enterprise Applications within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.Required SkillsStrong understanding of:Clinical DevelopmentRegulatory AffairsMedical AffairsProven experience delivering and supporting enterprise platforms in regulated environments.Demonstrable experience with the Veeva Suite, ideally including Vault Clinical and Vault RIM.Experience with Pharmacovigilance platforms such as Argus, LifeSphere, or Veeva Safety.Strong knowledge of application integration, data management, and enterprise technologies.Experience managing external vendors and technology partners.Preferred SkillsExperience supporting global pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations.Understanding of R&D digital ecosystems and clinical trial technologies.Experience with cloud platforms and SaaS application delivery models.Knowledge of AI, automation, and advanced analytics applications within Life Sciences.#J-*****-Ljbffr
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related discipline. 8+ years’ experience in IT Business Relationship Management, IT Business Partnering, Digital Transformation, or Enterprise Applications within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. Required Skills Strong understanding of: Clinical Development Regulatory Affairs Medical Affairs Proven experience delivering and supporting enterprise platforms in regulated environments. Demonstrable experience with the Veeva Suite, ideally including Vault Clinical and Vault RIM. Experience with Pharmacovigilance platforms such as Argus, LifeSphere, or Veeva Safety. Strong knowledge of application integration, data management, and enterprise technologies. Experience managing external vendors and technology partners.
