Job description

Overview We’re looking for a Digital Signal Processing Engineer for the Special Projects Unit. Our Technology:We are the world leader in Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (R-PNT) solutions that improve the reliability, performance, and safety of critical applications, and high-risk operations, even in GPS/GNSS-denied environments. We provide virtually fail-safe GNSS and PNT solutions for military and commercial applications worldwide, and ultra-precise synchronization (sub-ns) and frequency distribution for applications requiring a high degree of reliability and precision through White Rabbit PTP.In addition, Safran has great expertise in Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) through several projects in the framework of aerospace with ESA to provide deterministic communications with zero-packet loss.Overall, we deliver highly dependable solutions that always have high accuracy and robust timing at their core.Position DSP Engineer for communicationWhat you will be doing:As a DSP Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital signal processing algorithms for wireless communication systems, with a focus on applications requiring high-precision timing and synchronization. You will work on the development of digital signal processing algorithms and simulate them using Python, to support a range of applications including timing and synchronization, wireless communication systems, and other related fields.ResponsibilitiesDefinition of DSP algorithms for wireless communicationsGeneral knowledge of Software Defined Radios (SDRs) and FPGA architecturesSimulation of DSP algorithms in PythonKnowledge of different modulation schemes such as OOK, BPSK, QPSK, QAM, Spread Spectrum, etc.Requirements Must:Strong background in digital signal processing (DSP) and wireless communication systemsExcellent programming skills in PythonKnowledge of SDRs and FPGA architecturesPlus:Experience with communication systems in high-Doppler environments (e.g. airborne, maritime, or high-speed terrestrial communications)Knowledge of coherent receiver architectures and signal processing techniquesExperience with FPGA development using tools such as VHDL, Verilog, or HLS (High-Level Synthesis)Knowledge of timing and synchronization technologies (e.g. IEEE **, GPSDO)Familiarity with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and their signal processing aspectsProgramming skills in C or C++ for prototyping and developmentExperience with Linux operating system.Safran is an equal opportunity employer who does not discriminate based on race, color, citizenship, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran’s status or any protected category. We encourage veterans and people with disabilities to apply.#J-***-Ljbffr
