Job description

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll join our team in building the infrastructure needed to support the rest of our engineering department. You’ll help to create stable, highly available, cost-efficient and extensible solutions. We’re looking for an experienced professional and a great team player who is excited to learn. Working within the European Site Reliability Engineer team that takes care of several Tempo products, you’ll also be a member of the bigger Global Site Reliability Engineer team that is responsible for developing the core designs and standards. What you’ll do:

  • Design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure using best practices
  • Create and support CI/CD pipelines
  • Deploy enterprise-scale projects on AWS
  • Work with latest technologies like Kubernetes
  • Automate key processes, including build, release, and monitoring (alerting and observability), for both infrastructure and products
  • Design and execute technical solutions that improve speed and quality
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support our applications
  • Collaborate with team members and other staff
  • Ensure security and compliance requirements are met, + Impact: Work on meaningful products that empower enterprise users and improve productivity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Linux, Bash, Terraform is a must
  • Confidence working with monitoring and alerting systems
  • Experience in deployment of complex software solutions in a cloud environment
  • Proficiency with AWS or other cloud-hosted services
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns
  • Able to learn quickly and pick up new technologies
  • Highly analytical with a passion for finding solutions to tough problems
  • Responsible, proactive, positive and honest
  • Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback
  • Cares about the tasks’ context and the larger goal, versus just checking off requirements
  • Soliciting input from appropriate stakeholders when making project decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Will be a plus: o Experience with Helm, FluxCD, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Datadog o Experience with supporting Java/Kotlin apps o Experience with developing for Atlassian ecosystem
