Job description

This opportunity is open to current Manchester Met students only. Applicants must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

The Development and Alumni Relations team are looking for a student to join them as a Database Administrator, providing administrative and database support to help maintain accurate alumni records and support alumni engagement activities., * Adding and updating records on the University’s alumni database, Raiser’s Edge.

  • Checking degree information against graduation records and updating the database accordingly.
  • Reviewing and cleansing database records to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Updating records with relevant codes and additional information as required.
  • Conducting research and recording relevant findings on the database.
  • Processing alumni library card applications.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a professional office environment.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Practical experience of database and CRM systems.
  • Enhanced communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valuable experience handling and managing data accurately., This role is open to current Manchester Met students only.

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented student who is confident working with data and willing to learn new systems and processes., * Excellent attention to detail.

  • Good administrative and organisational skills.
  • Confidence working with databases as a key part of the role.
  • Strong typing and data-entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • A professional and mature approach to handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • The ability to learn new software packages and systems quickly.
  • The ability to work independently and manage their workload effectively.

Desirable

It would be beneficial, but not essential, to have:

  • Previous experience of data entry.
  • Experience using databases, CRM systems or Microsoft Excel.
