Job description

The Tech Ops Engineer will design, engineer and implement the Firm’s trading hardware. They will work in close collaboration with research teams to architect, implement and analyse new automated electronic trading algorithms. The Linux Engineer will play a key role in building and engineering the Firm’s infrastructure to support new and existing lines of business. In addition, the Engineer will expand the Firm’s proprietary research platform to support new exchanges, products and functionality.

Requirements

NO experience of finance needed., * Preferred degree in any mathematics, science, or computing related area (e.g., computer science, computer engineering, mathematics or physics)

Strong understanding of Linux
Experience building process management and monitoring toolkits leveraging scripting languages (python preferred)
Experience working with development to improve the operational stability and functionality of existing and new trading systems
Experience coordinating, planning, and executing firm-wide changes within a with a global change management framework
Ability to triage, prioritise and troubleshoot complex network and systems issues, ranging from low-level hardware to in-house software applications
Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, HTTP, TCP, UDP, etc
Can demonstrate a high level of initiative and the ability to quickly build trust with trading and technology
