Job description

The Inviso Cloud Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and delivering modern Data & AI solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role works closely with clients and internal delivery teams to develop scalable, production-ready data platforms that enable analytics, reporting, operational intelligence, and AI workloads.

The Engineer contributes across the full project lifecycle including development, testing, deployment, optimization, and client collaboration. This role partners with solution architects, project teams, and customer stakeholders to implement modern lakehouse and data engineering patterns using Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and Databricks technologies.

Working within Inviso’s Microsoft Solutions Group, this role supports a wide range of customer environments across commercial and public sector organizations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about building high-quality data solutions.

This is a 100% remote role, but may require some travel due to client needs.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Communication skills?, * 3-5 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying Microsoft data platform solutions.

  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or related Azure data services.
  • Strong proficiency in PySpark, SQL, Python, and modern ETL/ELT development patterns required.
  • Experience working with lakehouse architectures, medallion data models, and enterprise data engineering practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD deployment automation using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, and related services.
  • Experience troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting production data workloads.
  • Experience with T-SQL development including stored procedures, views, and performance optimization.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for both internal and external client engagements.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions within project timelines.
  • Interest in modern AI productivity and agent technologies including Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio. Prior experience is a plus, though willingness to learn and work with these technologies is expected.
  • Knowledge of Data Vault or dimensional modeling methodologies preferred.

Desired Qualifications

  • Microsoft Cloud certifications (Fabric, Azure Data Engineer, or related certifications).
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks, analytics engineering, or modern AI workloads.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud or data modernization initiatives.

Success Criteria

Success in this role is measured through delivery quality, technical execution, customer satisfaction, and the ability to contribute effectively within project teams. Data Engineers are expected to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions while collaborating closely with architects, project managers, and client stakeholders.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is based on several factors including market location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training, as well as Inviso’s differing lines of business.
