*You’ll work as an individual contributor, owning complex data engineering challenges, partnering with architects and stakeholders, and delivering scalable Azure data solutions. *The platform is centred around Azure, Databricks and SQL, with a strong preference for performant, modular Spark SQL solutions *You’ll also contribute to data modelling, platform optimisation, automation, CI/CD and engineering best practice.
Requirements
- Extensive enterprise Azure data engineering experience. *Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL, Storage and Synapse. *Expert-level SQL and Spark SQL. *Strong Databricks and Lakehouse/ELT experience. *Python experience and sound judgement around SQL vs Python. *Data modelling experience: Kimball, Star Schema or Data Vault. *Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and modern engineering practices. *Experience building scalable, resilient cloud data platforms. *Strong stakeholder communication skills across technical and business teams. *Experience in mining, natural resources, manufacturing or utilities is advantageous.
