Job description

An employer in the Dayton, Ohio, area is seeking a TS/SCI Computer Vision Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This individual will be responsible for developing and enhancing advanced AI and computer vision solutions that detect, track, and analyze objects using imagery and sensor data. The role involves designing and building software applications in Python and/or C++, optimizing GPU-accelerated systems for real-time processing, and integrating data from multiple sensors to improve target detection, tracking, and situational awareness. Working closely with engineers, data scientists, and mission stakeholders, this person will help design, test, and deploy secure, high-performance solutions that support critical GEOINT and national security missions. The ideal candidate will have an active TS/SCI clearance, be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph, and be able to work onsite five days per week.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI Security clearance (willing to take a polygraph) Bachelor’s Degree (STEM preferred) 3+ years of experience developing computer vision algorithms for detection, tracking, or sensor based analytics 1+ years of experience applying deep learning to computer vision problems using transformer based, self supervised, or contrastive learning architectures (such as: DINO, CLIP, or SAM) C++ or Python development skills Experience with GPU accelerated workflows (CUDA, RAPIDS, or comparable frameworks) Experience with tracking/estimation methods (Kalman or extended Kalman filters)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Master’s Degree or PhD GPU and AI experience Synthetic data or simulation experience Multi-sensor data fusion and tracking experience Geospatial, satellite, or remote sensing background MLOps and model deployment experience Real-time or distributed systems experience Experience with advanced transformer-based AI models AWS, Azure, or cloud ML experience
