Job description
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our global cloud team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining cloud-based platforms and solutions for our clients. At KION, you will be operating in a cloud-first multi-cloud environment. You can expect exciting tasks with a strong focus on automation to unlock the full potential of the cloud., The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $100,500 - $147,400 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Tasks and Qualifications: What You Will do in This Role: Develop, operate, and continuously improvethe KION Azure Cloud Environment to guaranteesystem availabilityandkeep services running. Assist inconfiguring and fixing AzureResources. Maintain and deploy Kubernetes infrastructure and resources within our cloud providers. Collaborate with FinOps to Optimizecost and spend of cloud resources. Compose and update scripts using PowerShelland other languages. Monitor for and Triage failures within Kubernetes and Cloud Environments. Support product teams with knowledge of cloudand containerservices. Act proactively byself-initiating projects and ensuringefficiency. Have knowledge and experience with both Windows and Linux servers. Act as a domain authority in Azure and GCPwithin the organization. Tackle demanding projects on a time-sensitive schedule. Respond to help desk tickets and tasks. Update job knowledge by participating in informative opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, andparticipating in professional organizations. What We Are Looking For Technology Stack you will work with: Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform Azure DevOps Pipelines/ GitHub Actions Kubernetes (AKSandGKEpreferred) Terraform Azure CLI/ Azure PowerShell/ GCLOUD VS Code, GitHub Co-Pilot
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field 7yearsof experience with infrastructure and services in public and private cloud environments (Azure is a must, GCP is helpful) At least 3 years of Kubernetes experience Good knowledge oftheadministration of Windows or Linux operating systems Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment processes (e.g.,Ansible, Azure DevOps Pipelines) Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Codeand all cloud delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) Knowledge of shell scripting (PowerShell,CLI,or Bash) and innovative Cloud technologies for automation Experience with monitoring or log aggregation tools (e.g.,SolarWinds, Azure Monitor) is an advantage Must be verydiligentand possess strong written/verbal communication skills Growth mindset, self-organization, and curiosity about taking over ownership and finding the best solution with the team Good communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team (global)
