Job description

We are looking for an Automated Torque Tooling Engineer to support a temporary assignment focused on the hardware migration of automated torque tooling systems across ASML’s EUV manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will work closely with Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Quality Control, and external suppliers to ensure a smooth transition to the new tooling platform. You will coordinate hardware implementation activities, support qualification and validation, and help maintain production continuity while improving reliability, quality, and safety.

Functie-eisen

In this assignment you join the production engineering team that is involved in supporting the production process of the EUV factory (EF). This team applies technical knowledge and skills to solve issues that directly impact the cycle times and the product quality of these state-of the art, highly complex lithography machines in order to secure the trust of our customers. They are the bridge between R&D, IT, Quality Control, and the factory to maintain the overview of the design, maintenance and optimization of the manufacturing operations particularly in relation to ensuring bolt quality. In the end, all these teams collaborate to work towards the same goal: delivering high quality products within the committed cycle time.

  • Vocational/Bachelor degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical- or Electrical Engineering, Physics or comparable
  • 0-3 years of experience in a production environment
  • Basic understanding of (wireless) network configuration and connectivity.
  • Knowledge of Torque tightening principles
  • Knowledge of Atlas Copco hardware and software is preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP MII Software is a plus.
  • Excellent English language level in speech and writing
  • Great communicative skills
  • Effective interpersonal capabilities
  • Flexible, can cope with stress and fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Team player

Competenties

  • As an ATT migration engineer, you improve manufacturing quality and efficiency by assisting in the Life Cycle replacement of the Automated Torque Tooling (ATT) within EF.
  • Deploy and set up new tooling in the EUV Factory production environment. (i.e., Setting up tools per workcenter in the cleanroom, connecting controllers to network with the help of IT, docking tools, etc.)
  • Transfer and configure tooling settings from existing to new-generation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues during the migration.
  • Migration of the ATT work preparation to the new environment.

Bedrijfsinformatie

This is a temporary position with an intended duration until the end of 2026.

The role is highly collaborative and requires close engagement with Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Quality Assurance teams, and shop floor stakeholders. A significant portion of the work will involve the Life Cycle Management of Atlas Copco Tooling within the EUV Factory.

Success in this role requires a combination of experience with ATT in a cleanroom environment, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, and a strong affinity for hands-on hardware integration. The ideal candidate enjoys working at the intersection of technology, operations, and quality, with a focus on delivering new tooling that enables safe, repeatable, and high-quality manufacturing outcomes. ,
