Senior Cyber Security Consultant at Hamilton Barnes Security Consultant (Mid-Level) | Cyber & Information Security Are you a cyber security professional who doesn’t want to be boxed into one niche? We’re looking for a mid-level Security Consultant to join an established international advisory team working at the intersection of cyber security, risk, and resilience. This is a broad, hands-on role for someone with 3-5 years’ experience who enjoys variety, challenge, and working with clients on complex security issues. If you’re curious, adaptable, and comfortable moving between technical, risk, and advisory work - this role is for you. What You’ll Be Doing Advising organisations on how to identify, manage, and reduce cyber and information security risk Supporting security assessments, maturity reviews, and gap analyses Helping clients develop practical security strategies, policies, and operating models Working across governance, risk, compliance, and technical security topics Supporting incident response, investigations, and post-incident reviews when required Producing high-quality client-facing reports and presentations Working directly with clients and stakeholders in German and English Staying on top of emerging cyber threats, regulatory changes, and global risk trends What We’re Looking For 3-5 years’ experience in cyber security, information security, technology risk, or consulting Exposure to multiple areas of security, such as: Cyber & information security risk GRC and regulatory compliance Technical controls and architecture Cloud, infrastructure, or IAM Incident response or security operations Familiarity with frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, GDPR Strong analytical thinking and a risk-based mindset Confident communicator who can translate technical issues into business impact Fluent German (spoken and written) Professional working proficiency in English Nice to Have (But Not Essential) Consulting or client-facing experience Security certifications (or working towards them), e.g.: ISO 27001 CISSP (Associate), CISM, CRISC Cloud security certifications Experience working with large, international, or regulated organisations Why This Role?
