The Design Engineer, Letchworth, Hertfordshire, will be expected to develop your understanding in the field, learning from peers and senior engineers in technical areas and industry best practices. This may include electronic design principles, RF systems, production processes, and supplier collaboration. Responsibilities include:

• Work with product management, customers, and internal teams to define product and design specifications.
• Create schematics, PCB layouts, and RF designs using industry-standard design tools.
• Develop and execute test plans for prototypes and final products.
• Debug and validate electronic hardware systems using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams for seamless integration.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Support production, customers, and field teams with technical queries.

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficiency with electronic design tools and PCB layout systems.
• Practical experience with test equipment, prototyping, and fault finding to component level.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
