Job description

We are hiring a Senior SAP Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in ABAP, the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), CDS, OData, and modern extension technologies on SAP BTP. The core of this role is mobile development with the SAP Mobile Development Kit (MDK), backed by strong AI-assisted development practice. You will own backend logic and clean-core compliant extensions for SAP S/4HANA and deliver MDK mobile apps. This is a senior role. You will set technical direction, review others’ code, and make extensibility decisions without hand-holding., Backend - ABAP and RAP

  • Develop and enhance applications using ABAP on S/4HANA, on-premise or cloud.
  • Build cloud-ready services with RAP.
  • Create CDS views, CDS-based business logic, and annotations for Fiori and OData consumption.
  • Implement OData V2/V4 services via RAP, or SEGW for legacy scenarios.
  • Apply clean-core principles for upgrade-safe extensions.
  • Build custom logic using BAdIs, Business Events, the Enhancement Framework, and key user extensions.

Mobile - MDK

  • Build and ship mobile apps with the SAP Mobile Development Kit against SAP back ends.
  • Design offline behavior, sync, and OData integration for mobile use cases.
  • Own the mobile app lifecycle: build, deploy, and maintain through SAP Mobile Services.

Frontend - Fiori/UI5 (as needed)

  • Build and integrate Fiori/UI5 apps against ABAP or RAP-based OData services when a task requires it.
  • Follow Fiori design guidelines for any UI work.

BTP and Cloud

  • Extend S/4HANA using BTP services: ABAP Environment, XSUAA, Destination Service, and Build Work Zone.
  • Build workflows with SAP Build Process Automation where needed.
  • Integrate ABAP systems with BTP via events, APIs, and RFC/OData.

Senior-level expectations

  • Review code and set standards for the team.
  • Own performance tuning across ABAP, RAP models, and the Fiori/UI layer.
  • Mentor mid-level developers.
  • Work cross-functionally with functional, architecture, and DevOps teams.
  • Operate in an agile, DevOps-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on SAP development, with recent delivery on S/4HANA.
  • Proven ownership of full features from data model through UI, in production.
  • Track record applying clean-core and cloud extensibility principles on real projects.

Required Technical Skills

  • SAP Mobile Development Kit (MDK), with shipped mobile apps against SAP back ends
  • ABAP / OO ABAP
  • ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
  • CDS Views and annotations
  • OData V2 and V4
  • S/4HANA extensibility, both In-App and Side-by-Side
  • Working knowledge of SAPUI5 / Fiori Elements, enough to build and integrate a UI when the task calls for it

Preferred Skills

  • SAP BTP ABAP Environment
  • SAP Build Work Zone
  • SAP Build Process Automation
  • Git-enabled CTS (gCTS) or Git-based source control
  • CI/CD for ABAP Cloud or BTP
  • Event-driven architecture (Business Events / Event Mesh)
  • Hands-on use of AI coding tools (ex. Claude Code) in a real delivery workflow

Benefits & conditions

  • $115-165K base + bonus and benefits
  • Opportunity to work on large enterprise SAP transformation programs
  • Collaborative team with experienced SAP architects and developers
  • Long-term career growth within a growing SAP practice
  • Remote work with occasional client travel as needed
