Job description

Insight Global is looking for a senior network engineer who specialized in large- scale network modernization projects across dozens of sites. You will be working with a small team to help with a global modernization program. You will be apart of a small team working to design and execute SD-WAN deployments, migrating networks from MPLS to broadband, upgrading Cisco infrastructure and firewalls, and creating detailed implementation documentation that local field technicians can follow during cutovers. You will work with a team of field admins to replace end of life edge routers and firewalls, refresh LAN switching, upgrading wireless, re-IP’ing overlapping subnets and decommissioning legacy WAN circuits across roughly 100 sites. You will lead remote engineering, build the implementation packages, and run cutovers remotely. This is a 6 month contract to hire role hybrid in Kansas City.

Requirements

10+ years hands-on enterprise networking in multi-site environments (50+ sites) Production SD-WAN experience - Silver Peak / HPE Aruba EdgeConnect strongly preferred Must have built orchestrator templates and executed cutovers, not just monitored an existing overlay. Viptela, VeloCloud, or Versa acceptable only with a strong story on platform ramp. Cisco ISR and Catalyst 9K deployment depth, plus legacy 2960/3560/3750 migration Network migration experience ASA-to-NGFW policy migration; Check Point preferred MPLS-to-broadband WAN cutovers with carrier coordination IP re-addressing at scale Proven remote-delivery model - can write an implementation package (design, config, IP plan, port map, cutover plan, rollback plan, test plan) precise enough for a non-specialist field tech to execute, and run the cutover remotely

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CCNP Enterprise or CCIE; Aruba or Silver Peak certification AireOS-to-IOS-XE wireless controller migrations Nexus / NX-OS Config automation - Ansible, Python, or orchestrator templating Manufacturing or industrial environment experience; heavy change-control culture
