Job description
Our Customer in the Enterprise Automotive industry is seeking a Senior Data Scientist who can build, deploy, and support AI/ML solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. This is a highly visible role requiring both technical expertise and strong business-facing communication skills.
- Partner with business leaders to identify AI/ML opportunities.
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover insights and recommendations.
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models into production.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Monitor model performance, manage retraining cycles, and measure business impact after deployment.
- Collaborate with business, IT, and end users to ensure solutions are adopted and used effectively.

Mentor team members and document processes to support knowledge sharing. Role Breakdown:
- 60% Business-facing leadership and stakeholder engagement 40% Hands-on Data Science (Python, SQL, ML model development and deployment)
Requirements
- Technical
- 5+ years of Data Science experience
- Strong Python experience (Pandas, NumPy, etc.)
- Strong SQL skills
- Oracle database experience
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn)
- Experience working within Microsoft/Azure environments
- Experience deploying AI/ML solutions into production
- Production & MLOps
- Experience monitoring and maintaining live models after deployment
- Model retraining, drift monitoring, and performance tracking
- Git/GitHub, GitHub Actions
- MLflow
- Azure DevOps
- Azure ML / Microsoft Fabric experience
- Business & Communication
- Ability to work directly with executives and stakeholders
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Proven examples of measurable business impact (revenue generation, cost savings, efficiency improvements, etc.) Ability to connect model outputs to business value and ROI
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Supply Chain, Logistics, Optimization, or Forecasting experience
- Automotive industry experience
- Power BI
- Microsoft Fabric expertise
- Experience with:
- Generative AI
- LLMs
- RAG
- Agentic AI
- Azure AI Foundry Experience using AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude)
