Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) Extract Transform Load (ETL) Data Warehousing Databricks

Job description

eNGINE builds Technical Teams. We are a Solutions and Placement firm shaped by decades of interaction with Technical professionals. Our inspiration is continuous learning and engagement with the markets we serve, the talent we represent, and the teams we build. Our Consulting Workforce is encouraged to enjoy career fulfillment in the form of challenging projects, schedule flexibility, and paid training/certifications. Successful outcomes start and finish with eNGINE.

eNGINE is hiring a pair of Product Owner to help lead the direction of our data and analytics initiatives. This is someone who’’s spent their career deep in data - dashboards, ETL, data warehouses, APIs - and knows how to turn business needs into products people actually use.

You won’‘t be writing the code or building the pipelines yourself, but you’‘ll need to understand what goes into them well enough to guide the people who do. A big part of the role centers on our enterprise data warehouse, and you’‘ll also mentor a mid-level Product Owner who’’s newer to the space.

You’‘ll own the backlog and write user stories, working alongside business analysts who help with refinement and grooming.

You’‘ll work closely with internal teams and also interact directly with outside partners in the pharmaceutical space. Some of those conversations will involve pushing back on requests that don’‘t make sense for the business - so this isn’‘t a role for someone who just goes along with whatever’’s asked. We’‘re looking for someone who’‘ll hold their ground when it matters.

Requirements

  • A background in pharma or healthcare - this is required
  • The majority of your career spent working with data in some capacity
  • Solid understanding of data warehouses, BI dashboards, ETL processes, and APIs
  • Experience with product ownership, backlog management, and writing user stories
  • Experience with Databricks is a plus, not a requirement

This role is remote, with occasional travel to our Pittsburgh office. Candidates based in or near Pittsburgh who are open to being in-office more regularly will have an edge.
