Job description

Depending on your specific background and track (Data vs. Platform), your responsibilities will include a blend of the following:

Infrastructure & Platform Engineering:

Implement or maintain infrastructure-as-code, automation, and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or comparable platforms.

Install, configure, harden, and troubleshoot Linux-based and cloud-based infrastructure services.

Support testing and validation of integrated cloud, data, and application capabilities.

Help ensure solutions are implemented in a secure, repeatable, resilient, and mission-ready manner.

Data Engineering & Integration:

Design, develop, test, and support cloud-based data engineering capabilities.

Build, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL pipelines and data workflows.

Develop or integrate RESTful APIs, services, and data-driven applications where needed.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on engineer who can integrate capabilities and seamlessly connect data, APIs, services, databases, software applications, and cloud platforms into working mission capabilities. The emphasis for this position is on practical implementation, automation, DevSecOps, data integration, and operational reliability rather than traditional requirements-focused systems engineering., Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS

Hands-on experience with cloud platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, DevSecOps, or platform operations -OR- Hands-on experience in data engineering, data integration, cloud data development, or software engineering.

Experience supporting CI/CD pipeline implementation, deployment automation, or release support using GitLab CI/CD or similar tools.

Experience administering, configuring, or troubleshooting Linux-based systems.

Familiarity with secure software delivery practices and integrated development environments.

Ability to support secure software and data practices, including safeguarding sensitive, proprietary, CUI, or classified information where applicable.

Operate effectively in secure, government, defense, or mission-oriented environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of related professional experience

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with AWS cloud services and deployment patterns.

Experience with Databricks or comparable cloud data platform environments.

Platform Focus: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or similar container and orchestration technologies.

Data Focus: Experience with Python, SQL, Spark, Java, or similar data engineering technologies.

AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or comparable cloud certifications are a plus.
