Job description

How do we do it? We work in a fast-paced environment with short communication lines. There are no unnecessary meetings and no politics. Our Focus? Ownership, clear communication, and getting things done together. We move quickly, learn by doing, and continuously improve how we support our customers. Right now, we’re scaling across Europe and into the US, and we need a Backend Engineer that can carry that weight. This is what you’ll do As our Backend Engineer, you’ll build the engine behind our platform: designing features that hold up under enterprise traffic, optimizing the paths that can’t afford to crack, and partnering closely with Frontend, Product, and DevOps to turn business needs into systems that simply work. Reliability doesn’t just happen here, we design for it. You care about clean code, resilient systems, and top notch performance. Create technical designs for features that handle enterprise traffic across regions, and optimize the critical paths for performance and reliability Champion operational excellence, from code quality and testing to release readiness Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers, and DevOps to turn business needs into working systems, owning it end to end and flagging early when something’s off track Mentor engineers who are growing fast Work in focused 6-week cycles, a deliberate post-scrum method built for builders

Requirements

5+ years building backend systems that hold up under production traffic, with real input into the architecture decisions behind them Solid experience with PHP (Symfony) and relational databases like MySQL, including hands-on query optimization Experience debugging complex code and functionality using metrics and monitoring A business-first thinker: familiar with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), making sure business rules are clearly and correctly implemented in code Comfortable with ownership: you ship it, you own it Proactive by default: you flag risks and blockers early, and give status updates without being asked Experience with Docker and GitLab CI/CD; Kubernetes is a plus

Benefits & conditions

At Dyflexis, you’ll be part of an ambitious, energetic, and customer-focused team. We offer: Fixed salary up to €6.500 gross per month based on a 40-hour week (skill based). Personal development budget to level up your skills. 25 vacation days + your birthday off in exchange for cake. An in-house chef surprising you daily with fresh lunch. The best parties, drinks & trips (Winter sports, Ibiza & more). Membership at ARJ Training boxing gym (home of champion Tarik & Levi Rigters). Solid pension plan & 8% holiday allowance. Buy or sell vacation days - you decide. Travel allowance and WFH compensation. Friday chair massages to kick off your weekend.
