Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced IT Technician to join our growing and busy IT team based in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.The business has grown organically and has been built through forging strong and positive relationships with our customers. We provide a variety of IT and Telecommunications products and solutions to our customers and no two days are the same.Responsibilities will include:Provide remote telephone, workshop and email technical supportDiagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for PCs/laptops, printers, tablets, Servers and other devices.Diagnose and resolve network issues. .Create and modify email accounts, including data migrationInstall and assist with the monitoring of Anti-virus, RMM and back up systemsProgramme VOIP phones and cloud based systemsInstallation and support of Windows Server environmentsMicrosoft 365 administrationActive Directory, Group Policy and DNS managementBackup and disaster recovery solutionsHyper-V and/or VMware

virtualisationNetwork troubleshooting (routers, switches, Wi-Fi)Customer onsite and remote supportCybersecurity best practices and endpoint protectionSkills, Knowledge and Experience:A track record of working as a team and taking ownership and responsibility for building strong relationships with customersAble to prioritise and work to deadlines.Proven experience of providing IT installation & support and the troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.Able to deal with confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion.PC Workstations, Windows OS, Apple OS, MS Server hardware and softwareOffice Applications including Microsoft Office 2010- PresentCloud Services including Google and Microsoft Office 365Microsoft Server Infrastructure Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022 administrationActive Directory (AD) managementGroup Policy (GPO) design and troubleshootingDNS and DHCP configuration and troubleshootingFile and Print Server managementNTFS and Share PermissionsUser and computer account managementServer patching and maintenanceServer migrations and upgradesPerformance monitoring and troubleshootingRemote Desktop Services (RDS)Windows Server security hardeningVirtualisationHyper-V installation, configuration and managementVirtual machine creation and managementVirtual networkingVirtual switch configurationVM backups and restoresSnapshot/checkpoint managementUnderstanding of VMware environments would be advantageousEssential:A high standard of written and verbal communicationExperience with Routers, Switches & WiFi devices, general NetworkingWell developed problem-solving skillsPembrokeshire based or willing to relocatePlease apply with a covering letter and CV.
