Job description

As the Infrastructure and Cloud Services Manager, you will lead and enhance the delivery of core IT infrastructure and cloud services, ensuring performance, security, reliability and scalability across the business. Working alongside the IT Operations Manager, Cyber Security & Compliance Manager, IT Customer Support Team and Digital/AI teams, you will help shape our IT strategy and support a wide range of initiatives.

You will also act as a primary escalation point for complex issues, work closely with approved third-party partners, and ensure our systems align with ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and wider business objectives.

Requirements

Essential

  • Relevant IT, Computing or Infrastructure qualification (degree, HND, apprenticeship or equivalent), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and Windows Server environments.
  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, server hardware, virtual platforms and enterprise networking.
  • Hands-on experience with HPE and Dell server technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and identity management services.
  • Good understanding of WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi and TCP/IP networking technologies.
  • Ability to produce reports, dashboards and management information to support operational decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive, organised and collaborative approach to resolving technical issues and delivering improvements.

Preferred

  • Industry certifications such as Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365, CCNA, ITIL, Security+ or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure transformation, cloud migration or large-scale technology change projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and modern cyber security principles including MFA, Conditional Access and Zero Trust.
  • Exposure to automation, scripting or Infrastructure as Code technologies such as PowerShell, ARM or Terraform.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot and modern endpoint management.
  • Experience working across multi-site environments and managing third-party suppliers or managed service providers.
  • Interest in digital transformation, AI technologies and continuous service improvement initiatives.
