Job description

Robotics Software Engineer - C++ / ROS2 / Linux, If so, our client - an innovative tech-for-good start-up - is looking to hire a Robotics Software Engineer based in Cambridge, UK, supporting operations across both UK and EU teams., * Design, develop, and test software systems for advanced robotic platforms using C++ & ROS 2.

Collaborate with electronics, mechatronics, and research teams within an Agile development environment
Test, debug, and validate software performance and reliability
Provide on-site support for physical robotic systems, including occasional travel to field locations

Requirements

Are you an experienced Software Engineer with strong expertise in C++ and ROS2, combined with a background in robotics and Linux environments? Are you based in the Cambridge area, or interested in joining one of the UK’s leading centres for robotics and technology innovation?, * 3 Years experience in an industry Software Design position.

A degree (or Master’s) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Strong commercial experience with C++ (C++14 or later) and Linux
Extensive hands-on experience with ROS2 (ROS1 knowledge also beneficial)
Experience with robotics software development and integration
