SAP Procurement Specialist

Our Chemical Manufacturing client is seeking an SAP Procurement Specialist to support the Maintenance organization by managing the procurement lifecycle for parts, materials, supplies, and services necessary to maintain site operations. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for purchase order creation, processing, tracking, and reconciliation utilizing SAP and MyBuy. The ideal candidate will have experience working in procurement, purchasing, maintenance support, or supply chain environments and possess strong organizational and communication skills., Create, manage, and track purchase orders (POs) through SAP and MyBuy.

Ensure timely procurement of maintenance-related materials, equipment, spare parts, and services.

Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, operations, and vendors to facilitate purchasing activities.

Monitor purchase order status, deliveries, invoices, and receipts to ensure accurate and timely processing.

Resolve purchasing discrepancies, invoice issues, and supplier-related concerns.

Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within SAP and MyBuy.

Support vendor onboarding, quote collection, and bid comparison as needed.

Partner with internal stakeholders to prioritize urgent maintenance requirements and minimize operational downtime.

Generate procurement reports and provide updates on order status, spend, and outstanding requests.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and approval workflows.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Finance, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, maintenance planning, or related functions.

Experience using SAP for purchase order management.

Experience working with purchasing platforms such as MyBuy, Ariba, Coupa, or similar systems.

Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting maintenance, manufacturing, industrial, chemical, pharmaceutical, or production environments.

Familiarity with MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) procurement.

Experience managing high-volume purchase order activity.

Understanding of inventory management and maintenance workflows., Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Finance, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, maintenance planning, or related functions.

Experience using SAP for purchase order management.

Experience working with purchasing platforms such as MyBuy, Ariba, Coupa, or similar systems.
