Are able to form well reasoned, data driven or otherwise evidence-based arguments, to influence key stakeholders across the business. Know when to build PoC vs production grade software. Are happy to work with colleagues who are geographically distributed and across different timezones. Our ideal candidate has: A track record of building and shipping production software in a commercial engineering environment. Proficiency in TypeScript, with hands-on experience of React and Nest.js. Familiarity with Postgres and Kubernetes. Experience with AWS, Terraform, and Datadog. AI fluency: We’re looking for engineers for whom AI has genuinely changed how they build, not just how fast. You work with AI-assisted and agentic tooling day to day and build with it rather than just reaching for it. You can show a clear trajectory in how your practice has grown over time. Bonus Points for: Having worked in an intelligence collection setting. Experience with “big data” technologies, the management of data, and data pipelines. The impact you will have: As an engineer in our Collection Engineering team, you’ll build the tools and platform that power Elliptic’s intelligence operation, the engine behind a product used by law enforcement, regulators, and the world’s largest financial institutions to fight crypto crime. All of it needs to be ingested, classified, stored, and reviewed before it can reach our proprietary graph database, the system at the heart of our market-leading products.
