Job description

  • Designing, developing, and deploying Python-based applications and systems according to client requirements and project specifications.
  • Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborating with software architects, designers, and other developers to implement solutions that align with project goals and objectives.
  • Conducting thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Participating in code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in Python development and related technologies.
  • Working closely with clients to understand their technical requirements, provide technical guidance, and offer innovative solutions.
  • Contributing to the development of reusable components, libraries, and frameworks to accelerate software development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing production applications with Python.
  • Professional programming experience with at least one of the following:
  • Java
  • C#
  • .NET
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML or Generative AI technologies.
  • Experience integrating AI models, APIs, or AI services into software applications.
  • Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working in cloud-based environments.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a client-facing consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications (nice to have, but not required):

  • Experience with streaming platforms and data engineering such as Databricks or Apache Spark
  • Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or other LLM platforms.
  • Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex, or similar AI frameworks.
  • Experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
  • Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Azure AI Search, Weaviate, Milvus, or pgvector.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, embeddings, evaluation, and AI model orchestration.
  • Experience developing or integrating AI agents/agentic applications.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP AI/ML services.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with SQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar databases.
  • Experience with data engineering technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Databricks, or Snowflake., At this time, CapTech cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
