Job description

Location: Washington, DC Salary: $90.00 USD Hourly - $100.00 USD Hourly Description: The Judge Group is currently seeking a Cloud Solution Architect to support a large federal agency in Washington, DC. This position is onsite five days/week.

Duties:

  • Set up and configure multi-cloud automation tools and continuous integration pipelines
  • for end-to-end Infrastructure as Code and DevOps cycles
  • Develop and operationalize cloud solution architectures that are highly available and
  • resilient by utilizing best practices in systems engineering, network engineering, and
  • multi-region and multi-account design strategies with a strong security focus to include
  • boundary protection, data protection, and enterprise grade management services with
  • strong operational SLA’s
  • Develop cyber and operations governance for an automated, containerized, self-service
  • multi- cloud platform
  • Work with House Cyber Security to foster all aspects of the cloud environments up to security
  • standards
  • Re-architect and migrate mission critical enterprise systems to public cloud environments
  • Communicate both orally and in writing with senior staff, information systems
  • professionals, and the non-technical user community
  • Other technology and organizational duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5 + years of designing enterprise cloud environments, including FedRAMP certified platforms
  • 5 + years of re-architecting and launching major workloads in the public cloud
  • 5 + years of software engineering, solutions architecture, or network systems
  • engineering to include modeling tools

Candidates must be able to:

  • Establish cyber and operations governance for the multi-cloud strategy
  • Effectively use at least two major cloud service providers, such as Amazon Web
  • Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Effectively use multi-cloud tools, such as Terraform, including writing module code and
  • applying best git workflow practices
  • Set up and use continuous integration tools, such as GitLab
  • Make cloud environments compliant with industry security standards, such as Center for
  • Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks
  • Administer systems with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Design cloud networks, including Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Virtual Private
  • Clouds (VPC), subnets, and firewall rules
  • Set up and operate Kubernetes clusters
  • Candidates should be flexible enough to work a diversified schedule at all data center locations and participate in 24x7 on-call technical support.
