Job description

We are looking for a motivated Junior AI Engineer to support the development and implementation of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, an understanding of machine learning concepts, and enthusiasm for building production-ready AI applications.

Your Role:

  • Develop and test AI/ML and Generative AI solutions under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Build Python-based applications, APIs, and AI integration components.
  • Work with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
  • Assist with data preparation, feature engineering, model evaluation, and testing.
  • Integrate AI models/APIs into enterprise applications and workflows.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, documentation, and deployment activities.
  • Explore emerging AI technologies and contribute to rapid prototypes/PoCs.

Requirements

  • Python and basic SQL proficiency.
  • Fundamentals of Machine Learning, NLP, and Generative AI.
  • Familiarity with LLMs and frameworks such as LangChain/LlamaIndex is preferred.
  • Exposure to PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar ML frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, Git, cloud platforms, and software engineering practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Benefits & conditions

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $48,400 - $95,000/year.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
