Job description
Our Fortune 500 client seeks a Test Automation Engineer for a long-term contract. The role covers automation and manual testing for customer-facing web and mobile portals and applications. The engineer will use an end-to-end testing stack with TypeScript and Cucumber, write and execute manual and automated test cases across the SDLC, and manage accessibility, analytics, and functional requirements while collaborating with Product, Design, and Development to ensure quality standards are met., * Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using TypeScript and Cucumber for web and mobile applications.
- Author and execute manual test cases across all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Perform mobile testing, including automation with Appium and manual validation on target devices.
- Validate accessibility, analytics, and functional requirements and enforce quality standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Development to define test scope and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of test processes.
- Support basic API testing and validation, using tools such as Postman when applicable.
- Contribute to end-to-end testing strategies within the team.
Requirements
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance., * 8 to 10+ years of combined automation and manual testing with front-end web and mobile, including lead-level responsibilities.
- 2+ years of experience with Cucumber.
- Strong automation skills in TypeScript. JavaScript experience is acceptable with preference for TypeScript.
- Strong manual web testing skills.
- Mobile testing experience with Appium for both manual and automation.
- Basic understanding of API testing. Experience with Postman is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience with Webdriver or WebdriverIO is a plus.
- Familiarity with Gherkin syntax is a plus.
- Ability to balance web and mobile automation efforts in a 60/40 or 70/30 split as needed.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
