Job description

  • Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is also dependent on input from others.
  • Often exposed to stressful situations.
  • Subject drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations.
  • Occasional travel is required to support remote office locations.
  • Ability to work outside normal workdays and standard office hours.

Requirements

  • Windows Server 2016 will go end of life on January 12, 2027.
  • The project will focus on upgrading Microsoft Windows core technologies from Windows Server 2016 to the latest supported and certified operating systems.
  • All upgrades are on prem infrastructure.

Technologies in Scope: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, PKI, FRS to DFSR, File Servers, Print Servers, IIS Web Servers.

Requirements:

Candidate must have at least five years’ experience with performing upgrades and completing decommissioning activities of the technologies in scope. Additionally, the candidate must be strong in the following areas:

  • Windows Server Operating System
  • Windows PowerShell
  • Windows Server Performance and Troubleshooting
  • VMware

Freedom To Act

This position does not require supervision over other personnel; must be able to work with minimal supervision.
