Job description

The Integration Test Engineer will facilitate the later steps of system integration. This includes initial communication with devices using existing software, hardware checkout, and maintenance of the system as it goes through factory acceptance testing. Additionally, as systems go through government acceptance testing, the I&T team will support system operations in the field. A successful I&T Engineer will be comfortable with the multidisciplinary nature of hardware integration and have knack for problem solving/troubleshooting to identify the right team. They will also be comfortable testing “beta” level features and creating documentation to move our production capability forward. All applicants must possess or be qualified to obtain a U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance. Preference will be given to candidates with an existing U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance.   • Work with SW leads to integrate devices on system
  • Maintain internally owned test hardware
  • Facilitate development on test hardware
  • Operate Laser Weapons systems and support field testing
  • Develop documentation for integration production and system operation

Requirements

  • Familiarity with C#, MATLAB, Python, C++ or other coding languages
  • Familiarity controlling Hardware through Software
  • Ability to problem solve in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to support field operations when needed
  • Free-space optics experience
  • Experience in an experimental research lab
  • Field testing experience
  • Experience in task management using GitLab or similar platform
  • Will be comfortable with the multi-disciplinary nature of hardware integration and have knack for problem-solving/troubleshooting to identify the right team.
  • Must be comfortable testing “beta” level features and creating documentation to move our production capability forward.
